RoHS & WEEE Compliance Statement

RoHS and WEEE Compliance Statement (PDF)
The following statement is a summary of the position of Ultra Electronics, NSPI with respect to the European Union's (E.U.) request for compliance to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive 2002/95/EC and to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive 20021 961 EC.
The RoHS directive bans the use of four metals (Hg - Mercury, Pb - lead, Cr(V1) - Hexavalent Chromium, and Cd - cadmium) and two flame retardants (PBB - Polybrominated biphenyls, and PBDE - Polybrominated diphenyl ethers) in certain specified products sold in Europe beginning July l, 2006. The WEEE directive provides for the prevention, recovery and safe disposal of specified electronic waste and required compliance by August 13, 2005.
All Ultra Electronics, NSPI products are considered compliant with the currently released RoHS and WEEE directives.
The products of Ultra Electronics, NSPI either fall under category 9 "Monitoring and Control Equipment" or are incorporated as an integral part of a large-scale fixed industrial tool. They are, therefore, specifically exempted from requirements within the RoHS and WEEE directives.
Independent of the Category 9 exemptions, the majority of Ultra Electronics, NSPI products are currently in full compliance with RoHS and WEEE directives. Should future modifications to the released directives impact our products we will strive to achieve and/or maintain compliance within the published deadlines of the directive.
Ultra Electronics, NSPI is committed to deliver uncompromising quality to our customers, and to develop products that have minimal environmental impact.
